Water Testing & Laboratory Analysis

Potable & Non-Potable Water Testing

Certified potable and non-potable water testing for compliance, safety, and peace of mind.

Lozier Environmental provides analytical testing for potable and non-potable water to evaluate microbiological, chemical, and physical characteristics. Our water testing services support regulatory compliance, environmental investigations, public health assessments, and routine monitoring of water quality throughout New York state.

We also accept home and residential water samples. Click for here helpful instructions on how to collect samples and what each test covers, so you can feel confident before submitting a sample for analysis.

Our Water Testing & Analysis Services

Bacteriological Analysis

Microbiological testing for indicator organisms, including total coliform, Escherichia coli (E. coli), fecal coliform, and heterotrophic plate count (HPC). These analyses assess sanitary quality, evaluate potential contamination, and monitor changes in water system conditions.

Legionella Analysis

Testing for Legionella in water systems using standardized microbiological methods. Legionella analysis can support building water management programs, environmental investigations, remediation verification, and assessment of potential exposure risks.

Metals

Chemical analysis for selected metals and related inorganic parameters, including lead, arsenic, sodium, and manganese, to characterize water chemistry and evaluate potential contaminants of concern.

VOCs and PFAS

Testing for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to support emerging contaminant investigations, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and drinking water quality assessments.

General Water Quality Parameters

Measurement of physical and chemical characteristics, including pH, hardness, alkalinity, and other applicable water quality parameters used to characterize water chemistry and assess system conditions.

Laboratory Reporting & Documentation

Analytical results are reported with applicable method information, reporting limits, quality control data, and supporting laboratory documentation. Results can be used for regulatory compliance, routine monitoring, environmental investigations, building water management, and corrective action planning.

Microbiological & Chemical Analyses Performed In-House

Analyses performed in house include total coliform bacteria, heterotrophic plate count, fecal coliform, Legionella, and E. coli enumeration. Qualitative and quantitative methods are available for all analyses. We also accept chemical analyses including lead, nitrate/nitrite, arsenic, sodium, manganese, hardness, alkalinity, pH, and more.

Our water laboratory is certified by the New York State Department of Health Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (NYS ELAP) for applicable potable and non-potable water testing. This certification demonstrates our laboratory's adherence to NYS ELAP requirements for analytical methods, quality control, personnel competency, and laboratory operations.
